Our 30 Barasti huts are directly situated on the beach among a sea of desert plants and flowers. Each Barasti is a spacious double room with its very own open air bathroom and shaded terrace as well as air conditioning, fan, safety box and mini bar. The walls of the open air bathrooms are built with rocks from the surrounding mountains and the front terrace provides the ideal setting to sip a glass of wine before dinner.

In line with our ecological concerns, the Barasti huts of our ecolodge are built in traditional Omani style. Similar huts are found in fishing villages along the coast as well as in the date plantations of Jabal Akhdar.
 
 The name Barasti refers to the material in which these huts are built. The palm fronds or Barasti used in the final phase of building are carefully selected by hand and retained for their high quality before being prepared according to tradition with a special carving knife known as majeez or das.

Our friendly Omani staff is there to help you and provide for your every need. We have children’s mattresses and triple beds upon request.
